Updates Logbook: Index

The lists accessible from this index record on updating of files at different times during the management of this website. The practice of keeping such records was instituted to demonstrate to RICORSO visitors something of the level of activity involved.

In keeping this record, the practice was to "save" the names of all files updated to the server each time that the “local site” was cleared off and restarted. At such times, a second synchronisation was made with the “remote sites” on my hard drive - being a consolidated version of the very many uploads previously made to the server since the last time the disk was cleared off and such a record was compiled.

Records before 2009 are limited or erratic due to editorial difficulties connected with maintaining two or three “local sites” concurrently in my office, at home and on a travelling laptop. With the introduction of the 1GB USB (‘pen drive’), it became possible to maintain the local site on a portable USB which could be plugged in at any such location.

From that point onwards the record of uploaded files became almost total - excepting only a few occasions when haste or convenience prevented me from saving a record of the updates. Old series refers to the period prior to 2005 when the existing website was rebooted as RICORSO.
