1917-1980 [Donogh Michael MacDonagh]; ed. Belvedere and UCD; news reader, Radio Éireann, 1935-44; joined Reuters in the Far East, and was Japan-Korea manager in 1947, signing the first sterling agreement with Japan; earlier participated with Clarke on RÉ poetry programme as verse reader; appt. Chief Sub-Ed. at Sunday Review, 1957; served as press officer for various companies; an obituary appeared in The Irish Times 29 May [ aetat 63].
