Life ?1600-?53 [de Boot, Bootius, or Botius]; Hebraist, and a student of rabbinical writings in particular; grad. MD Leiden; practised medicine in Dublin; corresponded with Archbishop Ussher on biblical and chronological matters and became Physician General to the English Army in Ireland, 1642; moved to Paris; issued Animadversiones cacrae ad textum Hebraicum veteris testamenti (1664), and medical works.
