Hugh Stuart Boyd
Life 1781-1848; son of Hugh Macauley Boyd (1746-1794); ed. Cambridge, classics; tutor to Elizabeth Barrett Browning; became blind; wrote several poetical works including Translations from the Greek (1814), A Malvern Tale (1827), and Thoughts on an Illustrious Exile (1825), as well as Luceria (1806), a verse tragedy.
