XIII of John Lane’s Keynotes series) and Modern Instances (1898); a novel, The Bishop’s Dilemma (1898); specialised in advanced topics such as unhappy marriages; found morbid and pessimistic in tendency; she reputedly had affairs with John Lade and Henry Harland.
