Charles Dibdin

Life
1745-1814; born in Southampton, Hampshire; dismissed by Garrick for misusing his mistress, and satirised him in The Comic Mirror. Charles Dibdin (father and son) are well-known theatrical musicians; Dibdin Jnr. was at Smock Alley for a season. ODNB OCEL
