in Sligo, 1923; Deputy Chief Inspector, 1932; books include Greann na Gaedhilge (1901); Seánfhocla Uladh (1907); Ceithearnach Uí Dhomhnaill (1912); Céad de Cheoltaibh Uladh (1915); and Amhráin na Midhe (1933); prolific author of articles
on education, language, folklore, archaeology and local history; his library was bequeathed to the New University of Ulster at resides at the Central Library of Ulster University, Coleraine. DUB
