fl.700; poet; probably member of the Ua nEachdhach, ecclesiastical family with territory south and west of Armagh, associated wtih recovery of Táin Bó Cuailnge in ‘Fallsigud na Tána’, in Book of Leinster, tradition relating how the shade of Fergus mac Roich recited it to him; poems include ‘Admuinemmar nóeb-Patraicc’ to St. Patrick which Tomás O Flannghaile based his ‘Dóchas Linn Naomh Pádraig’ on; Annals of Ulster, the Yellow Book of Lecan, the Book of Ballymote; in the Annals of Tigornach he is said to have written an elegy for Conaing mac Aedain, a Scottish prince; refs. also in glosses on Felire Aengusso; Tomas Ó Fiaich placed him 700 a.d.
