Though widely different in style and content - the former emerging from the current publishing industry and the latter turning on the antiquarian and modern interests of the eponymous  Irish “book-lover” of the period in question - both have provided an extraordinarily full and fascinating accounts of current business on both the literary and trade sides of Irish book production.

A synopsis of the Irish Book Lover, together with an integrated index of its contents throughout the whole series, was published by the editor of Ricorso under the aegis of the Princess Grace Irish Library in 2004.
