TCD; editor college magazine Icarus and co-editor of satirical magazine Blazes; M.A. Dublin City University; works as research and publications officer with National Council of Education Awards, Dublin; poems published in Honest Ulsterman, Salmon, Journal for the Irish Forum for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy; also anthologised; foreword by Brendan Kennelly to first collection From the Shelf of Unknowing and Other Poems (Dublin: Cluain 1991) describes the poems as ‘quietly impressive’ and remarks that the book ‘moves constantly between poles of loneliness and connection’; author of radio play based on life of James Clarence Mangan and a libretto for chamber opera about Mangan, music by John Byrne; also Glimpsed Lives (Dublin: Cluain 1995), 43pp. DIL
