1973- [pseud. of Yve Williams]; Dublin journalist and author of detective fiction set in America; issued Darkhouse (2005), the story of a New York policeman pursued by a psychopathic killer Duke Rawlins when he moves to an Irish lighthouse with his interior-designer wife Anna and their teenage son Shaun; issued Blood Runs Cold (2008), set in Colorado and featuring Ren Bryce, a hard-drinking FBI special agent on the track of killers involving a crazed ex-Vet and shocking revelations; lives on Beara Peninsula, Co. Cork.

Blood Runs Cold (2008): FBI Agent Ren Bryce is summoned from Denver to lead the investigation when an FBI agent is found dead on the slopes of Quandary Peak in Colorado. Fighting personal demons, pressure from Washington, and dwindling leads Bryce waits on until Quandary Peak gives up its secrets about the dead agent and a man with a dark past and even darker intentions.
