J. N. Brewer
Life Author of The Beauties of Ireland: Being Original Delineations, Topographical, Historical, and Biographical of each county [with] engravings by J. and H. S. Storer after original drawings, chiefly by Mr. Petrie of Dublin, 2 vols. (London: Sherwood, 1825-6), xcviii, 493pp.; cii, 501pp. [De Burca Catalogue No. 44, 1997; £200].
See T. Crofton Croker, Fairy Legends and Traditions of the South of Ireland, Part II (Murray 1828) - note on Barry of the Cairn Tierna referring the reader to Brewers Beauties of Ireland for information on Fermoy and particularly for an account of the rise of the town of Fermoy to its present state from the poor village described ... (p.314): Mr. Brewers character is already well known and highly esteemed, as an accurate observer [in Beauties of Ireland], a pleasing writer, and a careful and industrious compiler; and judging from the volumes which have appeared, the Beauties of Ireland are worthy of that gentlemans reputation. (Croker, idem.)

James Storer [engraver] is the compiler of Antiquarian and topographical cabinet [...], 10 vols. (London: W. Clarke 1807-11) [see further under George Petrie - infra].
