Eugene Alfred Conwell
      
Life 1819?-1877; archaeologist; purportedly discovered the tomb of Eochaidh (Ollamh Fodhla), king of Ireland and law-maker; Conwell visited the Loughcrew tombs in 1863 and devised an alphabetic naming-system for them which is still in use to day; there is photo-port by Camille Silvy in the NPG (London).
