1883-?; ed. Belvedere College, Dublin; bar 1910; served in Royal Dublin Fusiliers and Heavy Artillery in WWI; Legal Officer to Free State Army, 1922-23; Chief Commissioner Dail Eireann Courts, 1923-24; Judge-Advocate General, 1927-28; Circuit Court Judge, 1928-54; Chairman of Board of Assessors, Military Pensions, 1954- ; son of David Sheehy and nephew of Fr. Eugene Sheehy; school and college contemporary of James Joyce and author of memoir on him incl. in May It Please the Court (1951), and reprinted in Ulick O’Connor, ed., The Joyce We Knew (1967).
