Strong, and husband of Eithne; psychoanalyst, somewhat notorious in Dublin for his free conception of life; participant in White Horse movement in Dublin 1940s; issued 5 vols. of poetry include From Inner Fires (1962); established the Runa Press; there is a Rupert & Eithne Strong Poetry Award at the annual Dun Laoghaire Arts Fest.
